ADAM-TROY CASTRO’s hyphen is frequently misplaced, often between Troy and Castro, a screwup that turns his middle name into his last and results in eccentric alphabetic shelving of his books. Gamely enduring this, and pressing on despite all obstacles, he has managed to produce a body of work that includes his Andrea Cort novels Emissaries from the Dead (winner of the Philip K. Dick Award), and its sequel The Third Claw of God. His thirteen other books include the Sinister Six trilogy of Spider-Man novels and the nonfiction “My Ox Is Broken!” His short fiction has received five Nebula nominations and two nominations apiece for the Stoker and Hugo Awards. His novella “The Astronaut from Wyoming,” written in collaboration with Jerry Oltion, was awarded the Seiun. His upcoming books include another Andrea Cort novel and something called Z Is for Zombie. Adam lives in Miami with his lovely wife Judi and an assortment of insane cats that includes one, Uma Furman, who remains blissfully unaware that she has been discussed in the international press.
