If so, it seems from 364c that Nestor’s advice to Neoptolemus included emulation of Achilles and avoidance of Odysseus’ example. Compare, perhaps, Prodicus’ ‘The Choice of Heracles’, preserved by Xenophon (Memorabilia II. 1.21–34).
