In 1954 Pakistan began receiving the first of a total of 120 F-86F Sabres. The Canadair Sabre Mk.6, acquired from ex-Luftwaffe stocks via Iran, were the mainstay of the PAF’s day fighter operations during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
