I have not seen a stick like this in play, but I know it is possible. An innovation so revolutionary that the game of hockey itself would be changed forever, the double-ended hockey stick must come to be! Many minutes of kayaking over the years have shown me the wisdom of such an approach: economy of motion married to smooth new technique. Playing with this amazing new hockey stick, you would never be called for high sticking, and that hook in the blade would be continually poised for belligerent action or a theatrical flourish. Sticks would no longer be right- or left-handed, they would be both. Goalies would be flummoxed by a whirling propeller-like attack. A player wielding a kayak-paddle hockey stick would make great TV — an amazing combination of Jackie Chan and Wayne Gretzky. Face-offs would have a whole new dimension, with referees ducking the twirling blades before they set the game in motion with the toss of the puck. Hockey stick manufacturers would race to re-tool and innovate further. You, however, could be there first. You could be a trend setter as you refine technique and equipment years before anyone else has a clue.
To make this stick is easy enough. Simply find two broken sticks, saw the handles of each piece at long, matching bevelled angles, clamp, screw, and glue them together. You got it.
