AMPER

At last, we reached England. I was so

happy to see land, I jumped off the ferry

and kissed the ground.

My sister had to pull me back into the

camper. “Really, you’re so

embarrassing

,

Gerrykins,” she scolded. Then Grandfather

revved the engine. We took off in a cloud

of dust. I noticed a few rodents on the ferry

shaking their heads at us. Now that’s what I

call

embarrassing

.

An hour later, we passed a sign. It said

YOU ARE ENTERING THE VILLAGE OF STILTON.

We were so excited. Everyone jumped out of

the camper and took pictures of the sign. Then

we decided to celebrate at a local restaurant.
