have everything I want. A fabumouse house,
a nice car, expensive clothes. I’m rich,
rich, rich!
What more could a mouse
want?”
I shook my head. How sad. The Shadow
had no idea what she was missing out on. I
mean, it’s fabumouse to have nice things, but
what about friends and family? Weren’t
they important, too?
“Um, well, money is nice . . . Shadow,” I
began. “But wouldn’t it be nicer if you
had some friends to share all your cheese
with? And what about the needy rodents in
the world? Wouldn’t it be great if you could
use some of your money to feed an orphanage
of hungry mice?”
The Shadow smiled beneath her
whiskers. “Oh, Geronimo Stilton. You
