Summer Solstice is a day of great celebration. The sun is strong and light will flood over the moor stretching into the hours of night; this is a day the Bad must shrink and flee. Hang garlands from the doors, and wrap them around the throats of animals and small children. Bring the gardens inside the house, and eat the ripest fruit. It is a day of fresh things.

This day is the safest time, so be outside: on the moor, enjoy a day entirely free of the Bad.

This is the day of the greatest gift. When the sun is sinking, go to the Standing Stones. Take gifts of fruit and flowers. Watch the sun drop behind the hill called the Cloud. The Bad will rejoice. But then the sun will appear again, before a second sinking. Even the sun is reborn on this day. All broken things are made new. All sickness is healed.
