What do you hope to achieve by banning undesirable writings? This whole movement gaining momentum over the last few decades to silence racists doesn't eliminate racists, it just hides them, it eliminates any discourse or understanding, it causes racists to go into their own bubbles among themselves, reducing exposures to people who might alleviate them of their views.  The origin of racism is ignorance and that ignorance came about because of separation of communities, the more you suppress it, the more you will ensure that it will last far longer than it would have otherwise.

I know that there are people who are racist against my race, I think they're silly and ill-informed, but I'd rather know who they are, where they are and what they're thinking as much as possible, rather than pretending they're not there.  Upload some anti-racist books to counter their opinions.

I will say, and I know this is all completely up to the Chief Librarian, that I do find forums and other places on the dark web brimming with racism highly distasteful, not the kind of place I want to hang out.  I understand that where it is allowed, it's possible for it to be overrun, so at least from my point of view, I would advocate some sort of adult/sensitive topic reading room category for them; call it the 'trash heap' for all I care. 

I'm not a hardcore, free speech absolutist, I believe in balance between freedom and a community that a wide range of individuals feel comfortable in and I understand that allowing such materials to be hosted in a place may color the perception of that forum.  I suppose I have my knee jerk reaction to the anti-racist knee jerk reaction of "ban it" and I just have to wonder what will be accomplished, what might be the drawbacks of such action?  I know I'm speaking to a far larger arena than this little place represents, perhaps it is best to not have it for the drawbacks that allowing it would induce.

Thank you for collecting the list of books. I just deleted them. I agree we should not spread ideas like the AfD or the great replacement.

I have some doubts about other kind of racist books with some historical value, for example I could see the value of keeping 'mein kampf'.

Self published, unscientific and hatefull writings like The pamphlet of the Christchurch terrorist should definitely considered as hate speech.

I also stand aloof from this crude and inhuman positions but we should be carefull wehn deciding what is pure racism and what falls under free speech.

So for example, and maybe I am false but at the first glance I can't see tendencys of racism in the book "Ce que penser veut dire: Penser avec Goethe, Heidegger, Rousseau, Schmitt, Péguy, Arendt." It was also published from a classical, long established publisher (Éditions du Rocher) who also published books from Alfred Doeblin or Fritz Lang.

So that is just my humble opinion about that, however I would also remove books from the typicall publishers of the far right (Arktos Media, Antaios Verlag etc.)
Maybe you can implement a filter: if these publishers appear in the metadata, than they should be deleted immedately.

should we start a burning of books? As a librarian you should know the end of this process: The demands for deleting the "wrong" books will grow and grow ... and finally your library will burn.

If anyone demands the destruction of books, he will EVER say, that he is on a fight for higher values, on a crusade or dshihad for the true god or the true humanity. But they only wants to burn BOOKS. They cannot accept other thoughts, other religions or other ideologies.

But a true library should be a place of different opinions.
