Sudden freezing temperatures threaten a catastrophe that will affect the entire world!

As various government agencies struggle to find a solution to this madness, they all converge on a single man: Alex Cave, an ex-CIA operative and professor of geophysics, who’s previous experience with ancient alien artifacts makes him the only person capable of solving the mystery and ending ecological disaster before it destroys our civilization.

Alex joins the of the high-tech research vessel, Mystic, in a desperate attempt to remedy the situation before civilization faces ecological disaster, but some of the crew have their own agenda, regardless of a possible extinction level event if Alex fails. They enlist the help of modern day pirates, who capture the Mystic and leave Alex alone on one of Alaska’s Aleutian Islands.
