Z – Burlington, Book 5 in the Z Series

Mamba wakes up in a field near Corsham in Wiltshire, unable to remember why he is there…

Once his memories return, Mamba is ready to continue his quest to find Burlington, the secret underground city which had been built decades earlier as a refuge for the establishment in case of a National emergency. The Royal Family, politicians and other key members of society together with the rich and the famous all fled to Burlington at the start of the zombie outbreak, leaving the rest of the population to fend for themselves. They are just the sort of people Mamba despises.

However, Corsham is no longer the quintessentially English market town it once was; it is now ruled with an iron fist by ‘The Reverend’ and his followers; the Reverend is a man who has distorted the word of God for his own ends and scared and threatened the locals into doing his bidding. Corsham is now a place where even close family are suspicious and distrustful of each other.

Mamba is not the sort of person to do as he’s told or watch what he says or does, so as tensions escalate, and with the help of an old timer called Ernie, he realises he has no choice but to deal with the Reverend and his followers before he can turn his attention back to Burlington.

In this, the fifth outing, Mamba is back and ready to shake up the establishment.
