The Scarf

A writer named Daniel Morley models his characters after real women. After completing his stories, he murders the women with a maroon scarf he has kept since childhood. The novel traces Morley's killing spree from Minneapolis to Chicago, then finally to Hollywood, where his hit novel is about to be adapted for the screen.
