Aachen, November 1944. The partisan group "Werwolf" is supposed to murder the Lord Mayor Franz Corneli, appointed by the allies. 19-year-old Heidrun also belongs to the SS murder squad. When she scouted out Corneli's house, she felt a remorse - especially when she met the attractive Manfred. Without realizing that he is Corneli's son, she decides to break away from the partisans. But the "werewolves" track down Heidrun, and she reveals Corneli's address - his death sentence. Heidrun can hardly cope with this guilt, at the same time she feels more and more drawn to Manfred - until she finds out whose son he is...
