Sam is a twenty-five year old slacker who spends most of his free time with his best friends Nick, Sarah and his sister Roxie. He’s carried a torch for Sarah for years, but he's never built up the courage to do anything about it. Sam goes to Ohio for a few weeks to help his parents work on the family cabin, leaving his friends in Florida. While he's gone, a growing international viral incident which raises the recently dead into undead creatures that crave human flesh spreads throughout the world while Sam has no cell service at a remote family cabin. By the time Sam gets back into cell phone service, the world as he knows it is gone forever. Will he have what it takes to survive in this new world, or will it eat him alive?
