Meet Aaron Jones, an elderly gentleman obviously down on his luck and badly in need of a shower.
A 60-year-old hitchhiker gets hit by a car in Wichita Falls, Texas in July 1995. After receiving treatment in the local hospital, he discovers his singing voice is clear for the first time in years.
Despite being broke, Aaron is generous and courteous, but he has a plan in the back of his mind.
This prompts him to enter a talent contest to use the prize money to help a ten-year-old girl, Melanie, whose father is dying. During the performance, the audience begins to realize his real identity.
Cries of "It's him. It's really him!" begin to ring out in the audience.
Afterwards, he leaves town with the media buzzing.
