The republic of Selegania’s tranquility is placed in jeopardy with the arrival of a wildly popular drug called Smokeless Green, a powerful stimulant which is used by some to increase their productivity and by many others to fuel raucous parties. The senate votes to ban the drug, in spite of a constitutional prohibition against banning any non-poisonous substances.

Soon, corruption becomes rampant, and criminals begin to acquire previously unthinkable levels of wealth.

Selegania’s story is told through the lens of the aristocrats, the criminals, and those caught in between. But the story’s principal protagonist is an ex-boxer named Richard Simmers, better known as Righty Rick, a man who nearly became the country’s national bare-knuckle boxing champion at a young age but lost due to an untimely injury and was banned for life because of his explosive reaction.

He spends the next decade in misery at a low-paying lumberyard job, though he occasionally displays his once-valuable skills in drunken bar fights.

Abruptly disgusted one day at work by the realization of his meaningless life of alcoholism and backbreaking labor, he vows to quit drinking and do something significant with his life.

This proves to be a rather futile quest until a chance opportunity thrusts him into the world of drug trafficking, a place where his still-sharp boxing skills and massive frame put him on the fast track to kingpin status.

With his mind constantly recalling the fame and riches that barely slipped through his fingers years ago, no amount of wealth or power can satiate him. He believes he has a great destiny to fulfill and that his criminal activity is only a means to that end.

This box set collection takes the reader from volume one through four of the series and includes the following titles in order: The Almost Champion, Mr. Brass, The Swordsman, and The International Businessman.
