Samurai have always been the supreme warriors of Japan, dedicating their lives to uphold the supreme code of honor known as bushido. And through the centuries, samurai women have fought beside their men to uphold that code. There are some who say that these warrior women no longer exist. That here in the 19th century, there is no room for such fantastic legends.

They are wrong. Keiko was born a samurai lady. But as a mere younger sister, her future was to run errands for her lovely elder sister and obey her father. Until the day her brother decided that it would be amusing to teach her all the martial arts of onna-bugeisha.

It was not long before the pupil excelled the master, and the legend of an onna-bugeisha lived again…
