The Complete Idiot's Guide to Microsoft Access X provides the beginning user with an excellent introduction to Microsoft Access. It provides a conversational and straightforward approach that will get a novice up and running quickly. The glossary, index, and contents at a glance make it easy for someone who uses Access occasionally to get information about particular features quickly. Because of the breadth of material covered, this book can also serve as an excellent resource for the intermediate Access user. This title covers all the fundamentals of Access X. It also explores some of the new features related to queries and reports, areas that prove to be quite a mystery for the new or casual user. In later chapters the author covers the Access/World Wide Web relationship and how this version of Access makes it easier to create forms and other objects for the World Wide Web. Technical information has not taken a back scat to the humor contained in the book. Competitors often overdo the humor and seem to be more concerned with being clever rather than providing a good basic look at a particular computer software product.
