Lacey Bennett always knew she was different. When she couldn’t control her emotions, things would explode around her. It wasn’t until a time traveller named Taylor befriended her that she learned of her amazing psychic abilities and there were others like her known in the future as "the evolved." Because of these powers, Lacey is the chosen one to prevent the future from nuclear devastation.

Her mission is to prevent three events from happening. To complicate matters even more, Lacey and Taylor’s friendship has blossomed into a romance. Even with the interference of the dark spirits, they prevented the first disaster; a train wreck.

They head to Las Vegas to celebrate before gearing up for round two. And once again the bad guys seem to be one step ahead of them. They are not safe anywhere! Taylor brings Lacey to a secluded school for gifted children named Serenity for some much needed answers. But things aren’t always what they seem.

With the fate of the world in her hands, who can Lacey trust with her life and those she cares about the most?
