[The Integration 01] • Still Myself, Still Surviving

Humanity has had to persevere over many different times of chaos and darkness, but has it ever been plunged into this kind before, where undead roam the earth—once being people, mutated by vicious and sickening smoke clouds? Where weather is hot and muggy year-round, and modern-society as everyone knew it vanished?

Majority of the people have fitted the expected reaction on how to survive this harsh reality—most evolving to hurting others with no remorse. Not even a full year has passed since that dreadful day the United States, and the world, changed forever.

Protagonist Gary Nillon, though willing to protect those he cares about at all costs, still holds on to his past-self significantly, not allowing this apocalypse to transform the humanity he can show every now and then. Him being a former Rockstar has led some to not take him seriously, but, now, he will be granted a chance to prove he is as capable in a world of many strenuous obstacles—with most waging life or death. He is put to the test as the small group he is with rely on a new leader, given the mysterious and questionable departure their former one, Harold, left imprinted in their minds.

Five unique survivors, all being skilled and aware not everyone can be trusted, yet none of them will be prepared for what is to come.

The Integration will change their lives, more than they already have, even further. If they can remain themselves, not giving in to the manifolds of ruthlessness others couldn't resist, then, maybe, life is not entirely overridden by nature, but, then again, even nature is not in control of itself anymore.
