All That Glitters

My name is Kinsley Brogan, and I have a life most people would kill for. I just finished recording my first album, and my songs are being played on country music stations around the globe. I have famous friends and a fancy penthouse apartment, and I’m getting ready to begin my first ever world tour. Then I find out I have breast cancer.

To escape the media storm my illness creates, I run to my father’s tiny cabin on the lake, desperate to keep the fight for my life from the public eye. The day I meet Beau Weston is one of the worst days I’ve ever had. Covered in tattoos and heavily muscled, Beau is nothing like the boy I remember from high school. Through his support and friendship, I quickly learn that my famous friends are as phony as the news stories they show up in, and that I am more than the disease the tabloids won’t stop talking about. I also learn that the happiness I’d been searching for may have been right here at home all along.
