When Brandon Flynn fails to land a reporter’s job fresh out of college, he settles for the next best thing—a low-paying gig as a mailroom clerk at a local gay newspaper. There, he is in charge of sorting out the responses to the paper’s popular personal ads.

Though at first his job is dull, all that changes when he comes across a personal ad that claims to be from a vampire seeking a willing bloodmate.
