Al Wheeler turns in his badge to become a private investigator for a lawyer's firm in order to----investigate an open-and-shut murder case involving Walter Byrne, friend of the lawyer and now married to the lawyer's ex-wife--determine just who really did kill the chorus girl, who was also Byrne's mistress--figure out who is trying to kill Byrne's wife, Myra, while fending off the advances of the man's sexy daughter. .
