The Grand Rogue

Megan Connaught buys the horse of her dreams, a gorgeous bay stallion, at auction before getting any information about the horse. After she buys him, she discovers that the stallion is an outlaw who can not be ridden. He is being sold because he just injured his previous owner. Megan makes the decision to keep the stallion because he is everything she has ever dreamed of in a horse and she is determined to reform him. She sets about making friends with the stallion, now named Rogue, and retrains him all over from the beginning. Things don't always go smoothly for Megan or for Rogue. Plus, along the way, she has problems with her current steady boyfriend, Larry, partly because of Rogue and also because a certain young man named Mike starts hanging around Megan and helping with Rogue. Mike has his own horse, a gelding named Rascal, who looks remarkably similar to Rogue and he believes that Rogue and Rascal would be a good team for the hunter pairs class at the New Year's Day horse show. Unknown to Megan, Mike also thinks he and Megan make a good team too.
