Charlie Collins has always had a severe allergy to responsibility. He built his life on the belief that this was as good as it could get. A self proclaimed slacker and a smartass who seems incapable of taking anything serious, Charlie doesn't concern himself with anything that isn't work, pizza, or X-Box. But today his routine world has been shattered.

The picturesque mountains of northeast Tennessee have been turned into a nightmare where the dead are hunting the residents of the Tri-Cities, ready to devour their next victim. And even worse than the threat of death, Charlie finds that he is now responsible for the lives of a group of survivors.

With the sun dipping dangerously close to the horizon, Charlie knows that they will never survive the night on the road. He has to rise above his own insecurities and prove to himself that he can be a better man than he ever believed possible if he is to lead his group to safety and keep everyone a good distance from dying.
