Tamburlaine's Elephants

Rusti, a young nomad, lives on the fringes of the warrior horde of Tamburlaine the Great, a powerful ruler whose brutality is legendary. The horde and its leader are merciless, sweeping through Asia, crushing and destroying as they pass.

In the course of his first real battle, Rusti captures an elephant and its young rider and although the two are intrinsic enemies and don't even share a common language, the bond between them grows until one day their friendship forces Rusti to decide where his loyalties really lie.
