Thea and her hunky new boyfriend, Detective Phil Hollis, are looking forward to a romantic Halloween getaway at his aunt's pretty stone cottage in the Cotswolds.

But their cozy evening in front of the fire is rudely interrupted by the discovery of a body at nearby Notgrove Barrow. The dead woman is laid out on an ancient burial mound . . . A knitting needle protruding from her chest.
