The Dark Count

Having spent most of her young life left to her own devices, Bridgett Mortimor has filled the lonely hours with fantasies. One day, she is certain, her knight in shining armor will come and carry her off to his castle, where she'll spend the rest of her days living the life of a fairytale princess. When her alcoholic father loses her to a tall, dark stranger in a game of cards, Bridgett falls quickly under the man's spell. Finally, she believes, her gallant knight has come to her rescue. Vincent Renault, dubbed The Dark Count by his peers, doesn't believe he has a chivalrous bone in his body. When fate throws him together with the fair Bridgett, he soon recognizes his chance to live out his own dark fantasy and Bridgett proves to Vincent that he really is her knight in shining armor, even if neither of them have ever lived a fairytale before.
