Raj Whitehall has led his men across the face of the planet Bellevue to one victory over the barbarian nations after another, until he is close to achieving his secret mission: resurrecting interstellar civilization with the help of the ancient battle computer Center, which whispers at the back of Raj's mind, giving him superhuman counsel and advice.
