Ragnarok · the Fate of Gods

Religious wars, natural disasters and threatening monsters have destroyed most of the human population. The survivors, united under a world government and a single amalgamated church, huddle together in fear within giant fortress-like cities built on elevated plates. Rigid class systems allow the fortunate wealthy to live high in the sky, while the poor suffocate on the dying ground beneath. The master swordsman, Zeke Branderlief, lives in the slums of what used to be Seoul, Korea, but finds that the piercing eye of the government's overlord has taken an interest in him. Blackmailed into fighting monsters on their behalf, he begins to awaken legends long since disregarded as fiction. As he investigates further, an ancient power begins to stir, and Zeke must summon the strength to face it to save the existence of planet Earth--as well as his own soul.
