A programme text edition published to coincide with the world premiere at the Royal Court Theatre, London, on 27 February 2009. Take one baby and a mother who's not sure if she's ready. Add a soldier returned from war and a grandmother holding the fort. Mix in a landscape of flatness and a pinch of violence in the countryside and maybe, just maybe, you'll get a miracle. A play about wanting a better life. A Miracle is Molly Davies's first play and is being performed as part of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme. This aims to develop new voices with their bi-annual festival and year-round development work for writers under the age of 26.
