My name is Page McAlaster and I'm a fixer - a person who hurls themselves into other dimensions to get the job done. 'The job' being theft, murder, or some other morally grey task I've been sent on. I guess you could say I'm in deep now; after all, I don't think the Masters - whatever they really are - would let me say no at this stage.

Now, normally it's in and out - a fall to my death, waking up in a foreign body and exploring anything from decrepit alleys to glimmering castles, meeting creatures other people might not imagine exist. Nightmares and frequent drinking aside, I think I've settled in well. This time, however, there was someone waiting for me when I got home... another fixer.

I don't know why I thought I was the only one, but now there are others and they say they need my help. All I know is that the last thing I want to do is get involved in cross-dimensional intrigue.

Not to mention I've managed to take on a stray...
