Jam�s poeta alguno, al menos en Espa�a, tuvo m�s r�pida y efusiva consagraci�n. De mano en mano corrieron sus libros y de boca en boca su nom bre, y no hubo labios de mujer por donde no pasaran sus rimas, como aliento suave, como canci�n de brisa que separa las hojas de una flor. En el coraz�n de la Humanidad late oculto un esp�ritu de justicia, y cuando se deja morir en el desamparo y el olvido a un hombre como B�cquer, ese esp1utu se siente sacu dido por algo que es justicia y remordimiento � la vez, y se quiere entonces reparar la grave falta come tida, enterrando en rosas las cenizas del muerto. Si quiera sea tard�a, bien venida sea esta p�stuma repa raci�n.
