Garrick Stevens is a homicide detective in Miami Florida. His life is never his own. He has a team of men he considers his family and a grandmother with a mouth that has no filter. Garrick has never had a relationship and doesn't have time for one. He lives for taking down the bad guys and making sure they suffer for their crimes.

Garrick is currently working a case where gay men have gone missing from Shakers, a popular gay club down town. A symbol is left in a certain spot on every victim. Garrick and his team have to stop this murderer before more lives are taken and this symbol is the only key evidence he has until the murderer leaves him a message on one of the victims.

One night while running a stakeout at the club Garrick runs in to the most sexiest man he has ever laid eyes on. Something flips inside of him making him want to make this man his. Garrick will do everything he can to not only get this man in his bed but also have him in his life for forever.

Tripp Anderson loves his life and his job. He works for a defense attorney that is the best in the state. Tripp has had a few relationships but they never lasted long. He knows one day he will find the right one but he isn't in a hurry and he doesn't make it a point to go out looking. His best friend is also his roommate. He loves to make Tripp go out with him to the club Shakers for dancing and drinking anytime he gets the chance.

One night Tripp meets a man that is gorgeous and sexy as hell rolled all in to one. He makes Tripp feel things he has never felt before just by his voice. When they see each other again Tripp doesn't know what to do with himself.

After a few run in's the two start seeing more of each other. When the relationship starts to get serious things start happening to Tripp. Garrick knows that it's the murderer, since Tripp fits the victim's profile perfectly.He doesn't want to tell Tripp until he knows for sure. One night when Tripp goes to the club, he is kidnapped while Garrick and his team are on their stakeout. Will Garrick find Tripp in time before he is another victim? Or will he lose his one chance for love and a life with a man he can't live without?
