The Bell Tower

When New Yorker Adam Bell moves to the small Southern town of Canelius to work as an announcer for radio station WCAN, he spins records of love, but his personal life is in shambles. Then he meets Susan, daughter of Canelius’s savviest businessman. The two quickly marry but Adam is unable to rid himself of the demons that have defined him. When Adam discovers that Susan is harboring a dangerous secret, he is forced to choose between love and career. “The Bell Tower” takes you on a rollercoaster romantic ride through 1950s rural America with a soundtrack from the likes of Tony Bennett and Rosemary Clooney you’ll never forget.

Author Walter Blum was a magazine writer and editor for the San Francisco Examiner for more than 30 years where he covered arts, culture and show business for California Living and Image magazines. Over his career, he interviewed such figures as Victor Borge, Phyllis Diller, Leonard Nimoy and Carl Sagan. Born in 1927, he held degrees in music composition from Columbia University.
