Forced to flee Hertfordshire, Darcy attempts to hide from his guilt and sins in London. He never expects to leave his townhome again until a woman with knowledge of his past - and Elizabeth - hands him a familiar mask.

It should be easy for Elizabeth to get over a man who never promised anything other than sinful delights. However, on a trip to London, she finds Darcy in the company with a strange woman and she knows that her heart is as compromised as her body. But that may not be the only danger, for soon after a kitten mask shows up on her relatives' doorstep.

And though the winter nights may be cold, Elizabeth knows only one man can warm her...
