Kennedy Sherwood has never expected anything extraordinary out of life.  

With a mom that sleeps around, a name that elicits snickers, and a poor existence of a life in Road-to-Nowhere, Illinois, she has always known she would never have that happily ever after.

A road trip to see her ailing Grandpa might be just what she needs.  What she definitely doesn’t need is false hope in the form of sex on legs, Sterling Crawford.

Sterling made fun of his older brother and how fast he fell for his wife.  Not believing that it would happen to him, he is knocked on his ass the minute Kennedy gets off the bus.

The moment he sees her he knows she is meant to be his, but she runs from him at every turn and he can’t figure out why.

How will he convince her that he is everything she didn’t know she wanted, when all she keeps telling him is why he shouldn’t want her?
