It's not easy to make ends meet in a recession, especially when you have an unemployed vampire with a thousand dollar a month blood bill living in your basement. Simon handles the stress as best as he can, but it's wearing on his and Juilan's relationship. Things seem to turn around when Julian finds a job, but after a while, Simon becomes suspicious of the strange hours and wads of cash Julian brings home. Can a night-watchman really make two thousand a week working only two hours a night?

When Simon discovers the truth, it is a betrayal far worse than he'd ever imagined, and he throws Julian out of his house. A chance encounter with a pack of werewolves forces Simon to seek Julian's help and to re-examine his feelings, but is it too late to save their relationship?
