When broke pizza delivery boy Jake Fisher receives word that his estranged grandmother has died and left him her fortune, he starts to think his luck is finally turning around; that is, until he discovers that not only was she not the quaint old lady he thought she was, but also the leader of a secret organisation whose sole job is keeping the hordes of the underworld at bay. Turns out there’s a gateway to Hell beneath Manhattan, and it’s these guys’ job to keep it from opening and causing full-scale Hell-on-Earth. And if things weren’t bad enough already, she’s also named Jake as her replacement. Things for Jake, quite frankly, have never been worse.

But unbeknownst to Jake, there are other forces at work within the company, forces that wouldn’t mind at all if a gateway to Hell were to be opened and our two dimensions united. And if Jake wants to stop that from happening, he’s going to have to man-up, and finally leave his immature ways behind.
