Somewhere in an apartment complex plays the quiet lives of Kova Innan and his friend Lukas. Two friends strung together out of necessity- one in refuge from his parents, one for reasons he refuses to divulge. They get along all right, one going to work during the days, the other staying behind to make the tiny space livable. Not obnoxious party animals, but not killjoys to live by either.Until Kova gets a package in the mail from an unknown sender. An old video game by the name of The Duality of Mankind. A dungeon crawler, showcasing the journey of two siblings, Lex and Syntha, as they search for a god long since lost who they hope will save their world from disintegrating into a wasteland.Suddenly the pressing question isn't what they'll eat for dinner, but what are 'caedats'? Who sent the packages that showed up at their apartment and Lukas' workplace? And where exactly did Lukas come from?But his withdrawn friend refuses to give him answers, leaving Kova completely unprepared when he suddenly goes missing- and when Lex and Syntha show up on his street.
