»Das Erinnern der Wunde«, übersetzt von Moshe Kahn, ist ein Auszug aus dem 1986 bei Einaudi erschienenen Band »I sommersi e i salvati«. »Ist das ein Mensch?«, übersetzt von Heinz Riedt, erschien erstmals 1958 unter dem Titel »Se questo e un uomo« bei Einaudi; »Die Atempause«, übersetzt von Barbara und Robert Picht, erschien erstmals 1963 unter dem Titel »La tregua« bei Einaudi. Beide Übersetzungen wurden auf der Grundlage der 1976 bzw. 1971 erschienenen italienischen Neuausgaben durchgesehen. Das Nachwort (siehe Primo Levi - Die Atempause) von Cordelia Edvardson übersetzte Ruprecht Volz.
