Izzy Davis wants to experience Georgian life, but especially the Regency years, so without telling her family, she uses the orb to take her back into time. But unused to time traveling, she lands in a dirty street where a carriage nearly runs her over.

The Earl of Wellsneath is in a sour mood and when his driver nearly runs down a beautiful woman, he thinks his luck has turned. But, not only is she American, she is also the guardian of his long-time enemy.
