While vacationing in South Dakota, retired Dallas police detective Harry Bronson encounters a woman on the run. Linda Randigs parents and husband were murdered, and someone is threatening to kill her son and grandson unless she drives cross-country to Minnesota for purposes unknown. Bronsons offer to help Linda sends him on a journey that brings him face-to-face with a string of suspects and a ruthless killer who threatens to destroy all that Bronson holds dear.In his efforts to find the culprit, Bronson reconnects with his former partner, Mike Hoover.
