Miss Elspeth Fortescue was brought up in the ways of science, and when her scientist father passes away, she seeks employment with Dr. Ivan Gregory, believing she can hold her own against any male assistant. Although she gets the job, she is disappointed to be given a rather dull and seemingly useless task.

Unbeknownst to her, Dr. Gregory is observing her reactions to physical stimuli and gauging her suitability for a part in his real work: a study of sexual arousal and progression to climax. Once he determines that she is a likely candidate, the real experiment begins.
