Beneath the Elder Tree

Nineteen year old Lucy awakes one morning to find herself in the realm of the spirits. Her mortal life has ended abruptly, and now she has been chosen to be the spirit guide for a mortal teenager.

Lucy believes that she will have to live out a lonely life as a spirit, but that changes when another type of entity crosses her path. Tim is a dark spirit - someone who has been cursed to roam the spirit worlds for all eternity. They are forbidden to even speak to one another and she must repel his advances.

Lucy’s time as a spirit then takes a sinister turn, as a mortal serial killer enters the life of the teenage girl she is to guide. Lucy is forced to call on Tim for help, and together they risk their very existence to save the life of a mortal.
