Burned Gasoline - a small town romance turning dark and sour as secrets are building and the most valuable is taken.
“You shouldn’t be interested in someone like me. I’m stuck here, in the middle of ‘fucking nowhere’ of America.
I’m a guy who doesn’t even have the privacy of having my own house.”
In Primrose Valley, population 800, people work hard, have a drink at Rick’s, and head home for sleep. Raylyn has no idea what to make of this small town in the Midwest; trees as high as a Manhattan skyscraper cradling fields of wheat and lining the highway going through town. Yet, a different life is just what she is looking for. When buying a farmhouse in need of renovation for herself and her young daughter she attempts to settle in and forget her shattered marriage. Well, until the day at the grocery store park lot.
Car mechanic Jefferson Daily is on his weekly trip to the store when a rare 1960s collector car is parked outside. The driver, a woman, curvy, blonde, and quite fiercely questioning his intentions when studying the car is shaking his existence. Nothing has made his heart beat faster or made things down south twitch since his bitter divorce, but this woman has done so by just opening her mouth in an introduction, “Raylyn”.
Jefferson has his hands full taking care of his mother—and running his mechanic shop. Work, he needs. Raylyn from out of town, with a body like a wonderland in need of exploring, and a child in tow? Absolutely not. Or, maybe, heck—yes.
But can they really hope for another chance of love or will events interrupt?
