When you lose everything, what's left?

Obsessive punk fan Nick O'Doole leads a complicated life. His anthropologist parents are rarely home, preferring the company of their students and professor friends to that of their own children. Most of the other kids at Spartan High don't notice Nick unless they're beating him up. Furthermore, he's the only asexual gay guy in a world full of conformist hypersexual pop-music-quoting mall junkies. The only sources of stability in his life are his sarcastic older sister Brooke and his boyfriend, bass player Parker Beloit.

When Brooke disappears without warning, Nick is stunned. Where did she go? Why would she leave for no reason? It doesn't make sense.

With sensitivity and razor-sharp wit, Deathskull Bombshell explores themes of abandonment, community, and forgiveness.
