Claudia’s childhood has been far from that of a normal girl. Separated from her family and born with an ability that allows her to control heat, she has often found it hard to fit in.

After being rejected by various foster homes, Claudia is finally sent to live in a research facility where she quickly learns that some people are more interested in exploiting her abilities than helping her. When her only friend at the facility, Dr. J, is found dead she decides to go on a search for more people like her, which ultimately leads her to her true father.

Finally accepted, Claudia must now learn to trust those who try to befriend her, amongst whom is a popular and handsome boy named Solomon. Could his interest in her truly be as genuine as he wants her to believe, or could opening her heart to him lead to her downfall?

After having had her special ability lead to years of neglect and mistreatment, can Claudia ever accept love?
