The Art of Train Photography

Unlike previous books detailing the railway rolling stock operated in the United Kingdom, the new Ian Allan Rail Guide 2010, lists all rail operators in the United Kingdom by group of business with a heading section giving company details, and information about each train owned and operated. Cross-references to the same author's previous book, Traction Recognition, occur throughout the book to provide a source of technical data. A picture of each type of train showing the latest livery is included, and for the first time in an Ian Allan ”abc” product, details are included for Network Rail vehicles including snowplows, MPVs, test coaches, Royal Stock, Eurotunnel, private train operators, and engineering businesses. Sections also include Railtour operators and general rail magazine publications. Approx 300 color pictures are included, plus 35 maps. The introduction is written by the chair of ATOC.
