Following the Tigol Fortress war, Valhalla returns to Eva to a scene of celebrations and jovial atmosphere. While everyone is busy celebrating the victory, Seol Jihu comes clean about his previous gambling addiction to Jang Maldong, who urges him to make amends with his family. Meanwhile, Jang Maldong is worried about Seol Jihu’s current addiction and is determined to help him overcome that. After a brief respite, and realizing the need to get stronger, Seol Jihu decides to enter a special zone called the Path of the Soul to undertake a grueling and arduous trial.
