Reeling from events on the Moon and in the deep ocean, Henry, Qrora, and the rest of Midnight November find their world under attack. This is no mere raiding party or probing force, but an all out assault by an ancient rival to the dreaded Blacktide. Now they must face technological terrors beyond their wildest dreams as people, animals, and even plants become fodder for the Forgotten to create soldiers and weapons.
